Wendi Watson is Founder and Executive Director of Empowered Citizens. Wendi has worked in the Substance Use and Mental Health profession for the last 16 years. Wendi graduated with honors from North Carolina Central University where she is now a Clinical Lecture in the Social Work department. She is a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSW-A). Wendi is currently a candidate for the Ph.D. program at Walden University with an expected graduation date of 2023. Wendi’s passion and commitment to working with youth who struggle with substance use and mental health is motivated from her own personal life experiences.
