Empowered Citizens

Empowered Citizens (EPC) is a non-profit 501c3 organization that partners with youth, families and communities to bring awareness about the risks of mental health and substance use disorders among youth between the ages of 13 to 21.

Alternative Peer Groups (APG)

Our Alternative Peer Group (APG) is a 31 week community-based, family-centered, positive peer support program offering pro-social activities, college and career readiness and group counseling for youth who struggle with substance misuse, mental illness, and juvenile delinquency

Intensive Outpatient Therapy

Empowered Citizens utilizes the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) guidelines, in addition to a Comprehensive Clinical Assessment to determine level of care for youth. Length of Stay is always based on medical necessity for treatment.

DWI / SAP Programs

Empowered Citizens (EPC) is fully licensed by NC DWI Services and will assist you with your assessment in a professional, confidential and timely manner. EPC will often complete an assessment the day you call to request an appointment.
